Meghan Markle Returns to Acting After Eight Years with Amazon MGM’s Close Personal Friends
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Meghan Markle is returning to acting after an eight-year hiatus, starring in Amazon MGM’s upcoming film Close Personal Friends. The Duchess of Sussex will make her first screen appearance since leaving the TV series Suits. She announced her departure from the show in the fall of 2017 and married Prince Harry in 2018.
Several outlets have reported that Markle was spotted on set in Pasadena, appearing as herself in the film. Other cast members include Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding.
Aaron Korsh, the creator of Suits, revealed in 2019 that he had invited Markle to return for the show’s final season. Recently, Markle hosted the Netflix cooking series With Love, Meghan, which received a lukewarm response. In August, she and Prince Harry signed a new multi-year deal with Netflix.
